Association and Caching in Relay-Assisted mmWave Networks: A Stochastic Geometry Perspective

Limited backhaul bandwidth and blockage effects are two main factors limiting the practical deployment of millimeter wave (mmWave) networks. To tackle these issues, we study feasibility relaying as well caching in mmWave A user association (UAR) criterion dependent on both status maximum biased received power is proposed by considering spatial correlation caused coexistence base stations (BSs) relay nodes (RNs). Using stochastic geometry tools, decouple UAR placement issues analyzing relationship between probabilities probabilities. We then optimize formulated problem based polyblock outer approximation exploiting monotonic property general case utilizing convex optimization noise-limited case. Accordingly, propose a BS RN selection algorithm where at BSs jointly considered. Experimental results demonstrate significant enhancement offloading using algorithms, show that deploying more RNs increasing cache size networks cost-effective alternative than density to achieve similar performance.
